The Vision: A World-Class Facility for a World-Class College
The College aspires to build graduate and undergraduate programs with a national reputation for their quality and innovation; and to create internationally renowned Centers of Excellence. These efforts will be greatly enhanced through the creation of a world-class business building.
Educational learning environments are similar to organizational work environments. The quality of one’s place wields tremendous influence in fostering productive outcomes and results. They also dramatically increase the ability to attract and retain the brightest and most talented students and faculty. We wish to create this kind of place at the College.
Prime Location
The new building’s prime location at the corner of Capitol Boulevard and University Drive will create a gateway to the University and a metaphor for the connection the College of Business and Economics provides between state government, the business community, and the university.
Meet the Match
To ensure that the building becomes a reality, the Micron Technology Foundation made a $12.5 million lead gift in 2007, contingent on Boise State raising $5 million in matching funds. To meet the match will take the support of countless alumni, friends and business partners.
Meet the Match Update
Currently over $2 million have been raised to meet the Micron Match. With less than $3 million to go to reach our goal we need your help. In support of this campaign, a dedicated group of COBE Alumns are reaching out to fellow classmates in a grassroots phone campaign to help raise the remaining balance.
